So, I have been giving a lot of thought to what might be the best approach for a Solutions Delivery Life Cycle. Ambassador Solutions, along with providing expert services, has been providing software solutions for over 20 years. A ton of material exists on our intranet site. I don’t know the history, but most of our team seems unfamiliar with the materials.
In 2007, Ambassador also initiated a process called ASAP. ASAP was intended to be our foray into using Agile techniques. Since I joined the ambassador team, it became apparent that we needed consistency.
As a Microsoft Gold Partner, the natural choice for Ambassador Solutions is to apply Microsoft’s MSF to the current Ambassador Solutions methodologies. MSF provides approaches to CMMI and Agile supported by Team Foundation Server with workflow capabilities, built in unit testing, and support for continuous integration.
Saying we are going to adopt MSF and utilize TFS doesn’t mean much unless we consistently apply our ASAP methodology. We will be striving to become among the leaders in Software Development.
There is something that can be said about making your goals known. It’s easy to quit something if nobody really knows you are trying, so be bold. Now that I have put it out there, it’s pretty tough to take back. I am looking forward to working with our team to mature our organization. I will keep you apprised of how we are progressing.
In the terms of our fearless leader, “Go big or Go home!
Thanks for coming in today.
