I was reading a post by Kyle Lacy a couple of minutes ago, and it prompted me to think back to my alleged fear of success. As I was connecting the dots, I thought of two of my friends and former colleagues Mike Langellier and Brandon Dewitt. Mike was nominated in the new entrepreneur award, and their company, MyJibe, was nominated for technology gazelle. I met both of them during their tenure at Baker Hill. I am intrigued by two aspects:
- Mike and Brandon are the second company that I know of to be formed by folks that were at Baker Hill at the time of the Experian acquisition. (Achievent started by Jim Hill and others).
- Their new company, MyJibe, was a sprout out of SproutBox. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Sproutbox, they are a startup incubator company.
As I talked to Mike and Brandon on Saturday night at the TechPoint Mira Awards, I noticed how fired up they were. They didn’t mind working long hours, and thrilled to make it this far.
I don’t know much about the vertical they are going into, but Mike and Brandon will be fun to watch. Check out MyJibe.
Thanks for coming in today.
